Espen is a Bay Area based lighting designer currently studying at Stanford University. He sees lighting design as the ultimate fusion of technology and art, where circuits and creativity converge to craft memorable experiences. Likewise, his creative process is also a fusion between the meticulous technical details and the emotional impact lighting can have on the performance. 

As a moving light programmer, Espen is no stranger to the intricacies of modern stagecraft. He delights in choreographing beams of light across the stage, accentuating every moment with precision; a precision that comes from meticulous pre-planning and Vectorworks drafting. 

For Espen, however, the detail comes second to the storytelling. He relishes the opportunity to create the world of the show, painting with light to evoke emotion, set the mood, and breathe life into the characters. Whether it's a subtle shift in hue or a dramatic spotlight, the effect adds depth and dimension to every performance that leaves a lasting impact.
